This colony was established in 2010 with one T-14 wooden house with 4 Troyer horizontal guards (all with excluder entrances). A second T-14 wooden house with 4 Troyer horizontal guards (all with excluder entrances) wa added for the 2011 nesting season. All hatch year birds since this site was established have been banded with Federal issued bands. 119 HY Martins, 1 ASY Male, and 1 SY female Martin were banded (for a total of 121 Martins) during the 2012 season. There were 31 active nests - of wich 30 successfully fledged young.

This colony was established in 2009 with two T-14 wooden houses each with 4 Troyer horizontal guards (all with excluder entrances). All hatch year birds since this site was established have been banded with Federal issued bands. A total of 150 HY Martins were banded during the 2012 season. There were 35 active nests - of which 34 successfully fledged young. The colony site is located at the NMWR Visitor Center and is equipped with a live nest-cam which is viewable on a large screen in the Visitor Center.
